Potty Time
We have been working a little with Avery to go to the potty. I didn't want to get to much into it before we went on vacation. So I have been putting her on the potty in the mornining and before bath. I really was thinking that I was not even getting through to her at all. Tonight she looked at me and said "potty" very clearly. I said "Do you need to go to the potty?" She said"ya". I took her in there and she sat down a went pee pee. We jumped around and screamed and now she is eating chocolate. I love being a parent!!

4 days and counting!
I know it has been forever. I am apparently a terrible blogger. Oh well. Maybe I will have more time now that summer is about to start.
I did want to post a couple of pictures from Colton's baseball season. He did great, but he is now very glad it is over. I really like watching baseball so I hope that he wants to play again next year. He says he will never play again. I hope not. It is one sport I actually can keep up with and know all the rules:)
Also, within two days Colton started riding his bike with out training wheels. We went today and got him a new 16" bike and he loves it and does really well. I was kinda of sad cause he is not a baby anymore. He has independence:( I can't even imagine what it will be like in 11 years when he jumps into a car. It makes me very glad he is just riding a bike.(with a helmet!!
Well, I have to post some pics of Avery. She has really started to say words FINALLY!! She is a woman of few words but she can definitly hold her own:) We got her a tricycle today. She will have to grow into it. It said two years old but she doesn't even come close to touching the pedals.
I still cant figure out how to rearrange the pictures in a post. rrrhhhhh

Has it been that long?
Yes it has!! I know it has been forever since my last post. I think I may just post pictures of the last two months instead of one big long post with stories. However, I will not be posting them today because I can't seem to get them from my camera to the computer and Matthew is out of town(of course).
My little Colton has been real sick with double ear infections. He is going on day 7 with fever(101, 102). So far the antibiotics aren't working. Pray that he feels better. They are really hurting him and he CAN NOT hear hardly at all! If he is not any better by Thursday bac k to the doctor we go.
Got to go for now!!

Since I have been so behind in my blogging I thought I might post the shower that we gave for Shaylee. It is late but I suppose it is appropriate.

Pray for baby Brian- update
Brian just came out of surgery. The doctors are very hopeful. We will know more when he wakes up(probably tomorrow morning) . Just pray he does well through the night.
I have a relative who just got the most horrific call of her life. Her baby the same age as Avery is in the hospital and may not make it. He was with his dad for the weekend when he fell off the bunkbed. He has severe trauma to his head. He is in surgery to relieve the pressure in his brain. Please pray for this little boy to completely recover!!!! I will keep you updated. We are praying for you baby boy!

mommy couldn't help
It is the worst feeling in the world to see your baby embarresed, upset with himself, and dissapointed. What is worse is not being able to help him.
At school for weeks the pre K has been practicing one song to sing in the Christmas program. He loved the song and sang it for me all the time. He kept telling about the end of the song and throwing chocolate. Tonight was the night of the big program. He was so excited for it to finally be here. The kids would go up, sing and dance while holding a stocking full of chocolate. He came out , spotted me immediately and gave me a little wave. They started the song and he did such a great job! I was so proud of him and he was proud of himself. At the end, he couldn't get the chocolate to come out of the stocking. He didn't get to throw any. He covered his eyes, looked at me and tried SO hard not to cry but the poor thing couldn't help it. I have been in his position a couple of times as a kid. I so knew what he felt like. I wanted to run up there and pull that chocolate out for him. I couldn't. It was hard. He cried walking off the stage. You want to protect your child from embarresment and disappointment as a parent. I could do nothing but console him. Tonight as I put him to bed I told him that he did good and I was proud of him. He said " I couldn't get the chocolate to come out" Poor guy! Growing up stinks! (for the mom too)
Avery sat so nicely through the hour long program. She watched a little. She had Colton's sticker book and she put stickers all over herself. She was a cutie . I wish I would have taken a picture:(
